Welcome to Calvary Baptist Church

You are God’s workmanship, created in Christ to do good works! We’ll help you discover the life of high adventure when you surrender all to Jesus.

Welcome to Calvary Baptist Church. Our weekly worship takes place at our CBC location at 405 Lane Parkway here in Shelbyville and is a place you can be excited about inviting your friends and a place where you can build your relationship with God and others. You can dress casually or wear your “Sunday Best”; we want you to be comfortable as possible. Our worship style will be blended to include contemporary worship music and hymns as well as a relevant message from the Bible that will challenge you. A CHURCH THAT STANDS ON TRUTH

Our mission and vision at Calvary Baptist Church is to transform the hearts of people into a close and personal relationship with Jesus where they know Him as Lord, King and Savior and are people who passionately love God and passionately evangelize others. We believe in physical, emotional and spiritual transformation the instant a person accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior. We want to reach people the church has not yet reached and lead them into a relationship with Jesus Christ or simply…“Go and make Disciples!”

The Little Drummer Dude performed by Calvary’s KROP (Kids Relying on the Promise)

Meet the up-and-coming Persia’s Traveling Band—or PTB, as their fans call them—who are out on “their biggest tour yet!” with their little “roadie” Abel. Along the way, they meet three Wise Men, who are following a star in search for a King who has just been born. With the possibility of playing for a Royal audience, PTB decides to join the Wise Men and make the journey to Bethlehem. After all, what better way for the band to be discovered and rise to the top the charts than playing for a King?

Worship the Lord in Giving

We give as an act of worship. We ask big, pray big, and expect big things to come out of a people that lives and operates in Kingdom mentality. Jesus is King over our finances and places us as  stewards over His income. We give back to launch new Kingdom opportunities for the Gospel to reach to ends of the earth.
