Welcome Bro. Tony Thibodeaux and family as Calvary’s new pastor!

Thibodeaux Family

Bro. Tony Thibodeaux and his wife, Samantha hail from the bayous of South Louisiana. Bro. Tony came to know Jesus at age 12 and at age 19, recognized his calling to the Gospel Ministry. Unfortunately, as he states it, Bro. Tony didn’t surrender until 10 years later. From that time, Bro. Tony has been active in Ministry for the past 14 years serving as Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, and as a Youth Pastor. Prior to his surrender to the ministry, Bro. Tony served 10 years in the United States Navy. Bro. Tony is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree and has aspirations to pursue a doctorate in the future.

Bro. Tony and Samantha have been married for 19 years. Together, they have four loving children: Mackenzie, Madison, A.J., and Gage. Bro. Tony and his family love serving the Lord and are excited about the opportunity to serve Him at Calvary. Bro. Tony’s favorite verse of scripture is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you” —this is the Lord’s declaration—”plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Our mission and vision at Calvary Baptist Church is to transform the hearts of people into a close and personal relationship with Jesus where they know Him as Lord, King and Savior and are people who passionately love God and passionately evangelize others. We believe in physical, emotional and spiritual transformation the instant a person accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior. We want to reach people the church has not yet reached and lead them into a relationship with Jesus Christ or simply…“Go and make Disciples!”

Every Sunday we bring a message of hope that is relevant and applicable to our lives today.

Worship the Lord in Giving

We give as an act of worship. We ask big, pray big, and expect big things to come out of a people that lives and operates in Kingdom mentality. Jesus is King over our finances and places us as  stewards over His income. We give back to launch new Kingdom opportunities for the Gospel to reach to ends of the earth.
